Saturday Night saw the awards ceremony at The Mercure Parkside Hotel, Milton Keynes.
A great time was had by all and last seasons achievements were duly recognised.

Christobel Green Memorial Trophy Nigel Edwards
Best Newcomer went to Ben Jelf who also collected the only Duck of the year
Mechanic of the year went to Team Viney.
The Bourgain Trophy for International Achievement went to Malcolm Goodman
The Ian & Lisa Trophy for the Committee Member who went the extra mile was Jeni Jelf
Contribution to the club by a Non Member went to Kevin Turner

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the RYAs Tony Needell Award which recognises services to the sport, which this year went to Cliff Watts.
Cliff was a founder member of the club and is always found carrying out tasks to ensure the club runs smoothly, some of Cliffs tasks are carried out behind the scenes but, he is involved with everything from Management, Maintenance and running the bar to name a few. In the past Cliff has been involved with race day duties having held the role of Timekeeper.
Congratulations Cliff a well deserved award.
The raffle went well with the usual assortments of food, drink and gifts. The Harrods Bear donated by Kay Noone was this year won by Owen Jelf & Family.
Dancing was until the early hours and for others the chance to catch up and reminisce or plan for this new seasons campaign.
The new season starts Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st when practise with the usual full hospitalities on offer.
Lakes a bit high at the moment but look forward to seeing you all there. |
