About Racing

Powerboat racing is one of the most exciting sports available on water today.
There are many classes within Circuit racing competing on inland lakes and rivers, there is something for everyone and, the sport is not prohibitively expensive.

Please contact us where we will be happy to discuss the types of classes that are available in more depth.

Want to Race?

Before racing you will need to join a club please contact us for a membership application form.

To “Test the water” you can take out an RYA event licence purchased on the day through us for Club events. This will last for the duration of the event so you will be able to participate all weekend.
This is an affordable way of finding out if the sport is for you
Once you find out Powerboat Racing is your Passion then, you can apply for a licence from the RYA which will last for one year.

As a general guide if you are new to the sport you will start with Club or basic racing, learn those skills and then progress to National and even International racing if you want.
If you don’t have your own boat there will be opportunities for you to try a boat, or we can introduce you to people or organisations who offer promotional days, or boats to rent.
There are always New and previously owned outfits for sale at a budget to suit your requirements.

Practice will be provided with full instructions, and safety cover & equipment can be provided if required.

The sport is fast and exciting but safety is our primary concern.
